Thomas Hodges

Thomas LeRoy Hodges was born at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson on July 19, 1959. He passed away at Merit Health Central in Jackson August 10, 2020 at the age of 61.

Mr. Hodges was a longtime resident of the Jackson-Metro area, before moving to the Homewood community in southern Scott County about ten years ago. He will be remembered for his jovial personality and his love for fishing. Mr. Hodges took pride in his work as a mechanic, carpenter and home repairman, until his health declined. He served his country in the United States Airforce and was a Christian by faith, holding membership with Homewood Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Cecil and Charlotte Foreman Hodges and one sister: Cecilia Hodges.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years: Mrs. Shirley Hodges; one daughter: Natalie Dawn Hodges; one grandson: Jayden Furman and one brother: Neal (Susan) Hodges.

Ott & Lee Funeral Home, 295 East First St., Forest, served the Hodges family.
