Thomas Leslie Wright III, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away suddenly at home on March 31, 2025.

He was joined by his wife, Teresa Rish Wright, on April 17, 2025. She passed at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.

A memorial service for Mr. and Mrs. Wright will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon on Saturday, May 10, 2025, beginning at 2:00 pm.

Thomas Leslie Wright III was born March 19, 1946, in Macon, Georgia, to Thomas Leslie Wright, Jr. and Pauline Ray Wright. He was a beloved teacher and coach, and he enjoyed staying in touch with the many students whom he helped educate over the decades. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Wright.

Teresa Rose Rish Wright was born August 27, 1947, in Gulfport, Mississippi, to Johnny Rish and Vivian Womack Rish. She attended the University of Mississippi School of Nursing, becoming a licensed practical nurse. She was a hardworking, compassionate, and dedicated caregiver. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, James Rish and John Rish; and her sister, Cheryl Rish Robinson.

Mr. and Mrs. Wright shared 58 years of marriage together. They are survived by their two sons, Thomas Leslie Wright IV and Kevin Wright; granddaughter, Caroline Wright; Mr. Wright’s brothers, Michael Wright and Steven Wright; Mrs. Wright’s siblings, Earl Rish and Marcella Nell Rish LeBlanc; and their two beautiful, loud-mouthed Bassets, Roscoe and Elvis Earl.
