SERVICES: 11 AM FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2015 AT PAUL TRUITT MEMORIAL BAPTIST CHURCH IN PEARL.
BURIAL: FLORAL HILLS MEMORY GARDENS
VISITATION: 5-8 PM THURSDAY AT OTT AND LEE IN BRANDON AND 10 AM FRIDAY AT THE CHURCH
Thomas Michael “Mike” Harper, 62, passed away Monday, October 12, 2015 at his residence.
Visitation is 5-8 pm Thursday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 11 am Friday, October 16, 2015 at Paul Truitt Memorial Baptist Church Pearl with burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
Mike was a native and lifelong resident of the Jackson area and was a member of Paul Truitt Memorial Baptist Church in Pearl. Mike retired from MDOT after many years of service and was an avid LSU fan. He was active in the Civil War Reenacting Community for over 30 years and was active in the Celtic Fest for over 20 years where he served on the Board of Directors.
Survivors include his wife, Samantha of Pearl; mother, Betty Landrum of Byram; daughters, Candice Rose (Jonathan) of Pearl and Shelia Harkins of Pearl; sons, Matthew Harper (Kristen) of Tampa, Florida and Justin Schillinger (Joni) of Brandon; sister, Barbara Lowe (Jimmy) of Byram; grandchildren, Garrett and Evan Rose, Micah and Lily Harper, DeAnna Schillinger and Natalie Harkins.
