Thomas (Tommy) Howell

Thomas D. “Tommy” Howell, 47, passed away Thurs. April 25, 2013 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held Fri. April 26, 2013 from 5pm.-8pm. and Sat. April 27, 2013 from 12pm.-1:45pm. at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2pm. Sat. April 27, 2013 at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Cato Cemetery in Rankin County.
Tommy was born in Rota, Spain and lived most of his life in Cato, MS where he was a member of the Cato Baptist Church. He loved music, enjoyed playing the guitar and was also a DJ. Tommy also enjoyed photography, fishing, collecting guns and loved to go shooting. He loved life and always enjoyed making people laugh. Laughter seemed to follow him everywhere he went. Most of all Tommy was a hardworking dedicated father, who was dearly loved by his children and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his two children, Brittney Howell of Cato and Christopher Howell of Pearl; his step son, Kirk Nichols of Pearl; his two former wives, Jennifer Fowler of Brandon and Jennifer Howell of Pearl; his brother, Greg Knott of Cato; his niece, Mackenzie Crotwell of Puckett; four nephews, J.C. Knott of Cato, David and Matthew Winstead both of Puckett and Austin Crotwell of Puckett. Tommy also has a grandchild on the way. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Penny Howell; his son, Daniel Wayne Howell and his grandmother, Dot "MeMe" Knott.
