Todd Carter, age 53, of Pearl, MS a well-known D.J. and Radio Announcer, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, leaving behind a remarkable legacy in the world of music and broadcasting. He was lovingly known as the "Gentle Giant" due to his kind and compassionate nature.

Throughout his career, he captivated audiences with his baritone voice that resonated through the airwaves. Todd's exceptional gift for speaking, radio hosting, and singing brought joy to countless individuals over the years.

Whether entertaining listeners with his carefully curated playlists or showcasing local talent on his radio show, Todd's dedication to promoting quality music was unwavering.

Todd reveled in the company of loved ones and cherished the moments he spent with family and friends. Julie Carter was his cherished wife of 23 years who stood by his side through thick and thin. Together, they built a bond rooted in love, respect, and unwavering support. Their partnership was a testament to their commitment and devotion.

Todd was also a loving father to Chandler Carter and Joshua Carter. As a dedicated dad, he nurtured their dreams while instilling in them values of compassion, resilience, and integrity. He took great pride in witnessing their successes, knowing that he had played an integral role in shaping their lives.

In addition to Julie and their children, Todd is survived by his brothers Eddie Carter and Thomas Carter. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. and his special fur-babies Buddy, Bella, and Krystal.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Rose Carter, as well as his brother Randall Allen Carter.

A visitation in honor of Todd's life will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ott & Lee Funeral Homes- Brandon located at 1360 W Government St, Brandon, MS, 39042. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location starting at 11:00 AM. Todd's final resting place will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS. The burial ceremony will commence at noon.

Todd Carter was a remarkable individual whose vibrant personality and immense talent touched the lives of everyone he encountered. His legacy as a beloved D.J., Radio Announcer, husband, father, and friend will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Todd was unselfish to the very end of his life donating tissue and organs that will help 80 people. Todd now is even a greater hero not only to his two son's but also to his family, friends, community, and to the people whose lives he has touched by his gift. Though he may no longer be with us physically, his spirit will forever resonate through the music he loved and the memories he created.
