Tommy Hudson

Tommy Larry Hudson, age 77, a resident of Pearl, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at 11:00 AM from Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with Dr. Keith Grubbs officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, from 9:00 AM till 10:45 AM. Graveside Services will follow in Harmony Baptist Cemetery in Mize, MS at 1PM.

Tommy attended and graduated from Hinds Jr. College and Mississippi College where he played football.

Tommy was born in Pensacola, FL, on January 25, 1941, to the late Hilton Comer Hudson and Mae Bell Heise. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Robert C. Hudson of Ocean Springs, MS.

He was a teacher and a coach in several MS schools over the years, and worked in residential renovation and construction. He also ran his own insurance agency. Tommy was a member of Park Place Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Bryant Hudson of Pearl; children, Jenny Morehead (Jeff) of Pearl, Cindy Simpson (Steve) of Dallas, GA, and Tommy Hudson, Jr. (Brandy) of Richland; grandchildren, Josh Morehead ( Whitney) of Brandon, Sarah Morehead of Pearl, Catherine Webb (Christopher) of Villa Rica, GA, Caroline Simpson and Emily Simpson both of Dallas, GA, and Desiree Pope and Mason Corder both of Richland, and a host of other relatives and friends.
