Tommy Melton

Tommy W. Melton Lena, MS Mr. Tommy W. Melton, age 87, a resident of Lena passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Diversicare Hospice in Carthage. Visitation was held 6-9pm Friday at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Services were held 10am Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Ephesus Baptist Cemetery. Bro. Bobby Tagert officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Mr. Melton was born in Henderson, TN on January 14, 1929. He worked many years for Irby Construction as a Lineman. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, sister and son, Ricky Melton. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Presley Melton of Lena; daughter, Sylvia Chandler of Bath Springs, TN; 3 grandchildren, Michelle White (Alan), Jenny Nowell (Chris) and Clay Chandler (Leah); 7 great grandchildren and a host of friends.
