Toni Whittington

Toni Marie Whittington, 72, joined her Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 21, 2022.  She passed away surrounded by her loving family.  Visitation will be 5-8pm Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.  A funeral service will be held at 10am Monday at Cato Baptist Church with visitation starting at 9am prior.  Burial will follow in Ross Cemetery in Rankin County.

Mrs. Whittington was born in Jackson, MS on September 13, 1949, to John Lester Houchen and Elsie Breland Houchen.  She has been a member of Cato Baptist Church since 1976.  Toni enjoyed reading and spending time with her family while camping and traveling.

Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, Douglas Whittington; children, Nicole (Leon) Wedgeworth, and son, Brian (Rebekah) Whittington; brother, John Houchen; and her grandchildren, whom she dearly loved, Brynna Wedgeworth, Blane Wedgeworth, Alex Whittington, Mitchell Whittington and Brandon Wedgeworth.

Pallbearers will be Alex Whittington, Mitchell Whittington, Blane Wedgeworth, Leon Wedgeworth, Logan Keefer, Paul Baggett, and Philip Jones.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Brandon Gideons.
