Tony K. Hammock, 63, a resident of Cato, MS passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with interment in Salem Cemetery in Cato, MS. Visitation will be held 5-8 pm Tuesday and 12-1:45 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hammock was born February 3, 1955 to Thomas J. Hammock, Jr. and Janice Adams Hammock. He was married to Carol Easley Hammock. He worked many years for United Parcel Service as Operations Manager and in the transportation industry driving a truck. He was a member of Cato Baptist Church. Mr. Hammock enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing and loved helping anyone in need. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him. He enjoyed fishing in the “Catch A Dream Bass Classic” and would be honored for memorials to be made to “Catch A Dream Foundation”.
Mr. Hammock was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Hammock is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol Hammock; son, Trey (Nikki) Hammock; daughter, Toni Hammock Odom; grandchildren, Mattie Hammock, Ali Hammock, Maci Hammock, John Thomas Knight and Preston Odom; brother, Gregg (Lydia) Hammock; brother in law, Glenn Easley and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Breazeale, Charlie Long, Brett Hatten, John Knight, Gwin Adams and Buddy Blackwell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Goodman, Don Boyd, Rick Denson, Billy Perkins, Rodney McAlphin and James Hudgins.
