Tony Hewitt, Sr.

Tony Lynn Hewitt, Sr., age 73 of Brandon passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021 at St. Dominic hospital in Jackson, MS. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 28, 2021 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon MS. Visitation will be from 12:00pm till service time. He was preceded in death by his wife, Denise Hewitt; parents, C. Rex and Frances Hewitt; brothers, Arthur Hewitt and Charles “Hobbie” Hewitt. Tony was born in Columbia, TN on January 31,1948 and is the eldest of five children. He graduated from Murrah High School in Jackson, MS, class of 1966, and attended Ole Miss and Belhaven College in Mississippi. Tony served in the United States Air Force and retired from the State of Mississippi as an Information Technology Engineer. Tony is survived by two siblings, Calvin Hewitt and Wendy Hewitt Lee, both of Brandon, MS; two children, Tony Lynn Hewitt, Jr., of Jackson, MS and Patricia Hewitt White of Madison, MS; three grandchildren, Ethan Paul Meche, of Pass Christian, MS., Aubrey Lee Meche of Baton Rouge, LA and Nicholas Wayne Hewitt White of Madison, MS; one niece, Ashley Hewitt; three stepchildren, Debbie Wright Mulligan of Brandon, MS, Judd Wright of Southport, FL, and Rebel Wright of Glen Arms, MD; four step-grandchildren, Charlee Mulligan Yonko of Brandon, MS, Meagan Hernandez of Myrtle Beach, FL, Wade Maloney and Trent Wright both of Hattiesburg MS.
