Tony Katsaboulas, 88, died Monday, September 14, 2015 at St. Dominic/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation is Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 11 am until 1:30 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Graveside Services will follow at 2 pm at Lakeland Place Garden Park Cemetery in Flowood, MS.
Anthony Pete “Tony” Katsaboulas was born on April 20, 1927 to the late Pete Anthony and Chrisoula Antonopoulou Katsaboula in Mobile, AL. He was a graduate of Forest Hill High School, Hinds Community
College, and Bowling Green Business University where he received his BS Degree in Business Administration. He was a longtime resident of the Jackson/Brandon area, and a member of St. John the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church in Jackson. He was self employed with Mid State Distributors in Jackson, MS for a number of years.
Tony was a loving father, grandfather and uncle; a veteran of World War II, having served in the Navy. He was a good friend and loyal supporter of the Ole Miss Rebels for over 70 years, as the football team in particular was one of his greatest passions. He was a very kind soul and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Survivors include Betty Katsaboulas of Brandon, MS; children, Peter A. “Pete” Katsaboulas & wife, Tandy of Pearl, Donna Marshall & husband, Tommy of Brandon, and Chuck Harrison & wife, Alexei of Brandon; two grandchildren, Jonah Katsaboulas and Tyler Trainor; and two nephews, Tasho Katsaboulas and Kanello Katsaboulas both of Jackson, MS.
