Funeral Service: 1 pm Thursday at Ott and Lee Morton Visitation: 5-8 pm Wednesday at Ott and Lee Morton Interment: Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery Travis Christian Cooper, 28, a resident of Lena died Monday, July 7, 2014 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Thursday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in the Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Rev. Jathan Price will officiate the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton will be in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Cooper was a native of Scott Co. He was the son of Dwight and Terri Cooper. He was married to Laura Murchison Cooper. He was a Fiber Optics Cable Technician and worked for Raun Technicians. He was Southern Baptist by faith and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Carthage. Mr. Cooper enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and spending time camping with his family. He had a special hobby spending time with Laura and his two children. He loved his family very much. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his grandparents, Troy and Ophelia Cooper and Edgar and Margie Purvis. Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife, Laura Murchison Cooper; children, Elise Rivers Cooper and Malachi Christian Cooper; parents, Dwight and Terri Cooper; sister, Holly Cooper; niece, McKaelyn Sanders; nephews, Micah Sanders and Morgan Holley; many cousins and a host of friends. Serving and honoring Mr. Cooper as pallbearers will be John Walker, Adrian Babb, David Barrett, Tip Murchison, Micah Sanders, Terry Moudy and Jared Slade.
