Tressie Lee Thornton (McCraw), 87, passed away Sun. Nov. 21, 2021 at her home in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Tues. Nov. 23, 2021 from 5pm-7pm and on Wed. Nov. 24, 2021 from 10am-10:45am at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 11am on Wed. Nov. 24, 2021 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.

Mrs. Thornton was born on July 6, 1934 in Jasper County, MS to the late Dester D. Thornton and Ruby Lois Huff Thornton.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice Phillips; sister, Tina Alene Bruister; 4 brothers, Robert Leon Thornton, Chester Raymond Thornton (Johnnie), Larry Mitchell Thornton, William Darrell Thornton and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchild. She is also preceded in death by 2 daughters, Lois Gail Grice and Barbara Jane Summral; sister, Dorothy Elaine Mills and 5 brothers, Charles Edward Thornton, Tommy Gene Thornton, James Elvin Thornton, Shelby Gene Thornton and Richard Douglas Thornton.
