Trey Johnston

Thomas Trey Johnston, 31, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020 in Newton. Visitation will be 10:30 am Saturday at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Hickory. A graveside service will be held at 11 am at Pleasant Ridge. Rev. Bobby Warren and Garrett Mills will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest.

Trey was a native and lifelong resident of Newton County and was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church. He had worked as a security guard for many years and was an avid hunter and fisherman. One of his favorite pastimes was cooking.

Survivors include his mother, Shirley Rondeau (Dave) of Lawrence; father, Ottis Johnston of Hickory; maternal grandparents, Rev. Bobby and Edna Warren and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. Trey was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Billy Ray Strebeck; paternal grandparents, Tom and Bessie Pearl Johnston.

Pallbearers are Chris Strebeck, Larry Strebeck, Zachery Strebeck, Jacob Strebeck, James Embry and Justin Mills.
