Truman Warren

Truman Joe Warren, 73, a resident of Forest died Friday, December 23, 2011 at home.

Visitation was held 5-8 pm Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 10 am Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the funeral home chapel with interment in the Ephesus Cemetery. Elder George Gardner officiated the services.

Funeral services were provided by Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Forest.

Mr. Warren was a native of Scott Co. He was the son of Joseph Patrick and Loraine Culpepper Warren. He was married to Rita Jeanne Warren. Mr. Warren was employed by Sam Warren Construction Co prior to his retirement in 2004. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and obtained the rank of Master Sergeant E-7 prior to his retirement . He had received numerous awards for his service to his country. He loved his country and family very much . Spending time with his family brought great joy to his life. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.


Mr. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Patrick and Loraine Culpepper Warren, wife, Rita Jeanne Warren, son, Joseph Patrick Warren, II, brothers, Stanley and Harold Warren.


Mr. Warren is survived by his children, Rita L. Rice of Fayeville, N.C., Sam Warren (Terri) of Forest, Lisa (Neal) Comans of Carthage and Julia (Travis) Christian of Forest; sister, Rose (Wayne) Wicker of Homewood; he leaves a legacy of 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
