Tyler Stewart, age 26, a resident of the Branch Community passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 from injuries in an automobile accident.  His visitation will be held 1:00pm-3:00pm Sunday, January 24, 2021 at New Liberty Baptist Church.  Funeral service will follow at the church at 3:00 pm with burial in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.  Bro. Paul Smith, Bro. Shelly Peoples and Bro. Joey Smith will officiate the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Tyler was born in Rankin County on February 26, 1994.  He worked as a Petroleum Engineer with Clariant Corp. Oil & Mining Services.  Tyler enjoyed turkey and duck hunting.  He also enjoyed going fishing and playing golf.  Tyler enjoyed being with his friends and made friends wherever he went.  He had a big heart and was known to be respectful to everyone whether old or young.  Tyler enjoyed reading and his Bible was one book he always had open.  He and his sister had a special bond and he loved Alex Grace very much.  Tyler’s smile and kindness will definitely be missed by his family and all of his friends.

His is preceded in death by his grandmother, Kaye McElroy and grandfathers, Bobby Earl Stewart, Sr., and William Henry (Bud) Saxton.

He is survived by his parents, Bubba and Christi Saxton Stewart of Branch; sister, Alex Grace Stewart of Branch; grandmother, Hilda Saxton ; step grandfather, Buddy McElroy; aunts & uncles, Todd and Sandy Rhinewalt, Dotty Carr (Adam) and Sister Gardner (John); special little 2nd cousins, Levi & Lena Beth Rhinewalt; a host of friends and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Erek Rhinewalt, Will Herrington, Karlton Ginn, Dylan Alford, John Patrick Irby, Rylan Sugg and Aidan Bradford.  Honorary pallbearers will be Beau Rhinewalt, Mason Sugg, D.J. Monk, Wesley Webb, Kelby Hart and Chad Carlson.

Memorials may be made in his honor to New Liberty Baptist Church, 191 Measels Rd., Morton, MS 39117.
