Valentina Henson

Valentina “Tina” Cassino Henson, 60, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Merit Health Rankin in Brandon, MS.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am Friday, April 27, 2018 at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Flowood, MS. Visitation will be held from 10 am until 11:00 am at the church. She will be laid to rest in Memorial Gardens Park in Starkville, MS.

Mrs. Henson was a native of Vicksburg, MS. She was the daughter of the late Frank John Cassino and Ruby Pearl Husbands Cassino. She was married to the late Joe Robert Henson. Mrs. Henson worked for Mississippi State University as an accountant administrator for 25 years. She was a graduate of Mississippi State University and was very involved in the baseball program at Mississippi State. She attended St. Paul Catholic Church in Flowood, MS. She loved her family and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. Henson was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Robert Henson; parents, Frank John Cassino and Ruby Pearl Husbands Cassino; sisters, Niki Cassino Lewis and Donna Cassino Vinson.

Mrs. Henson is survived by her son, Michael Robert Henson; brother, Frank Cassino (Ouida); sister, Sherrie Cassino McCaffrey (Pat), nephews, Howard Lewis (Julie), Kelly McCaffrey (Kim) and Brian Cassino; niece, Christy Lewis Massey (Wes); numerous great nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
