Vera M. Jordan, 87, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Emeritus at Heritage House in Brandon. Visitation will start at 1pm Sunday, November 25, 2012 until the 2pm service in the parlor at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Interment will follow in Old Brandon Cemetery.
Mrs. Jordan was a member of First Baptist Church of Biloxi. Vera, affectionately known as Muzzy, will be missed and loved by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Collier Jordan; daughter, Mary Kathryn Wilbourn; siblings, Sara Allbritton, Gladys Langston, Jimmie Jones Murphree, Markey Rushing and her twin brother, Vernon “Buddy” Murphree.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Joy (Igor) Butorsky; grandson, David (Debbie) Wilbourn; great granddaughter, Harper Caroline Wilbourn; cousin, Oscar (Lennie) Chapman and niece, Tammy.
Her family would like to thank her caregivers, Patricia Washington and Perida Brown, the staff at Emeritus at Heritage House and the Elder Law Firm.
