Vera Louise Franklin Harvey Bryant, age 91, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home, Brandon and again on Thursday from 10:00 am until 10:45 am at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 17, 2018 Ott and Lee Funeral Home, Brandon with Rev. Reggie Tatum officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Vera was born on August 15, 1926 to the late John Evon and Susie Catherine Franklin.
She was a long time resident of Rankin County and a member of First Baptist Church of Pearl. Vera retired from Rankin Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, James L. Harvey and James D. Bryant; grandson, Tim Harvey; three brothers, Johnny, Emmett, and Sidney Franklin; one sister, S.A. Kimble.
Vera is survived by her son Lawrence Harvey (Wanda); granddaughter, Kim Amason (Randall); grandson, Todd Harvey (Christel); great-grandchildren, Randa Amason, Cole Harvey, Kylee Harvey, Thomas Harvey, and Nicholas Turner all of Pearl; sisters, June Harrell and Merle Thompson; brother, W.E. Franklin all of Morton.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Brandon Rehab and Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland for their special care and compassion shown during the illness of Vera.
