Vera Mae Boykin, 82, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson after a
long illness. Visitation is 9 am Saturday May 18, 2013 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 11 am Saturday at the funeral home with burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl. Bro. Gene Erwin will officiate.
Mrs. Boykin was a native of Rankin County and had been a resident of Pearl for the past 47
years. She retired from the Mississippi Department of Vital Records in Jackson after many years of service. Mrs. Boykin was a member of Pearl United Methodist Church
She is remembered with love by her children, Vonnie Lee Warren of Flowood, Viola M. Boykin of Flowood, Robert N. Boykin and wife Deleisa of Pearl, Faye Dodds and husband David of Madison; nine grandchildren, Tracy Perkins, Mark Warren, Joshua Hammer, Jeremy Boykin, MacKenzie Boykin, Justin Boykin, Shannon Boykin, Jason Boykin and Apryl Boykin; six great-grandchildren, Johnathon Perkins, Joseph Perkins, Aubrey Boykin, Grady Hammer, Vera Hammer and Brody Boykin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Ray Boykin and son, Wendell Ray Boykin.
