Vern Darrell Brough, age 76, died at the State Veterans Home in Jackson on June 5, 2010, after a 14-year battle with Alzheimer’s. He donated his body to the University of Mississippi Medical Center for Alzheimer’s research. Visitation will be held at the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 175 Burnham Road, Brandon, MS, on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 10:00am, followed by a memorial service at 11am.
He is survived by his wife, Joanna McElory Brough, his daughters, Loretta Brough Harwell and Virginia Brough Peck; his grandchildren, Richard Townsend, Anthony Townsend, Blake Fitzhugh and Virginia Harwell; his sister, Darlene Norr & Reed of Tremonton, Utah; his step-mother, Jane Brough and his extended family in Utah.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1900 Dunbarton Dr., Jackson, MS 29216 or your favorite charity.
