Vernon F. Smithhart, 84, passed away peacefully at his home in Pearl on Sunday, February 12, 2012. Visitation is 1 – 2:45 pm Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 3 pm Wednesday from the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home.
Vernon Francis Smithhart was born on April 27, 1927 in Forkville, MS to the late John and Minnie Rigby Smithhart. He grew up loving his Country and was all about America. He served his Country in the U. S. Air Force for 22 years. He was very family oriented and loved his family, the Military, and Politics.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lula rhea Smithhart of Pearl, MS; five children, Judy Karen Jerkins & husband, David of Fannin, MS, Mark Douglas Smithhart & wife, Hope of Pearl, MS, Michael Glen Smithhart and Ronald Wayne Smithhart both of Pearl, MS, and Donna Chandler & husband, Mickey of Brandon, MS; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren
