Vernon Keith Puckett Sr.

Mr. Vernon Keith Puckett, Sr. age 54, a resident of Morton passed away peacefully at his sons’ residence on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.  Visitation will be held Friday, July 2, 2021 from 5pm-8pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  There will be NO service at this time.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mr. Puckett was born in Magee, MS on August 6, 1966.  He enjoyed sitting on his porch, listening to music, talking to his friends and making people laugh.  Keith never met a stranger and was great at tinkering with anything that was dealing with construction.  He loved his family very much and his grandson, Elijah was the apple of his eye and he was so excited about the new grandbaby on the way.   He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Denford A. Puckett and Janet Pauline Moore Puckett; siblings, Gregory Scott Puckett and Michael Wayne Puckett and his mother-in-law, Mae Jean Putnam, who was his card playing buddy.

He is survived by his children, Brian Keith Puckett of Morton, Kendall Dewayne Puckett (Desaray) of Pearl, Vernon Keith Puckett, Jr. of CO and Joni Michelle Strickland of Kalem Community; siblings, Cindy Bethel (Clifford) of FL, Lissa Bailey of Lake, Tammy Hollingsworth of Magee, Christie Archie of Lake, Ray Puckett (Linda) of Forest, Randy Puckett (Donnie) of LA and Shannon Puckett of Forest; grandchildren, Elijah Kaide Puckett and one on the way.
