Vicci Marler, 65, passed away Mon. Feb. 29, 2016 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Memorial Services will be held 2pm on Fri. March 4, 2016 at the St. Paul Catholic Church in Brandon, MS with visitation being held at 1pm Fri. March 4 ,2016 prior to the services at the church. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS handled the arrangements.
Mrs. Marler was born in Houston, TX and has been a longtime resident of Brandon, MS. She attended Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon, MS and she enjoyed shopping, riding in antique cars, and going to the beach. Most of all Mrs. Marler loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Marler; five children, Melissa West, Michele Mixon, Jennifer Barbour (Reeves), Sean Gowen (Erin) and Bill Gowen (Leslie); two step children, David Marler and Eric Marler (Cathy); three sisters, Delores O’Mary, Elena Winters and Regina Williams; two brothers, Michael Scheel, Larry Scheel and 18 grandchildren. Mrs. Marler is preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Gowen and her parents, Eduardo and Regina Scheel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital at 2500 N. State St. Jackson, MS 39216.
