Vincent Steve Moore, 61, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation is 5-9 pm Friday and 12 noon Saturday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 1 pm Saturday at the funeral home with burial Brandon Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Moore was born September 29, 1950 in Jackson, MS and was a graduate of Provine High School, attended Hinds Community College, and was a Master Plumber. He was a business owner, officer in PHCC and served on the tech board at Hinds CC. As a Merchant Marine, he attended Harry Lundelburg School of Seamanship in Piney Point, Maryland and was Coast Guard licensed. Steve loved beekeeping, landscaping, working in his goldfish pond/flower gardens and loved all his pets, especially his favorite Zoe, the Yorkie. His passion in life was his family, especially “his girls” and will be remembered for his smile and sense of humor. He never met a stranger, had a compassionate heart and loved to make everyone happy even when he was suffering. Steve had a pure servant’s heart and that was his life’s ministry. He served as a deacon and loved his Savior, Jesus Christ. Steve was currently a member of Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Patrick Moore and Mary Pace Ridgeway. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Deena Stanley Moore; daughters, Renna and Havilah, all of Brandon; brother, Pat Moore (B. J.); sister, Loreta Blackwell (Buddy) and numerous nieces and nephews.
