Viola Butler

Viola Lurlene Butler, 82, a resident of Brandon, MS, passed away on Wed. May 3, 2023 at her home in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Fri. May 5, 2023 from 11am-1pm at Brandon Baptist Church located at 100 Brandon Baptist Dr. Brandon, MS 39042. Funeral Services are 1pm on Fri. May 5, 2023 at Brandon Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Butler was born in Thomasville, AL on Nov. 22, 1940 to the late Collin Carlisle and Beulah Branton Carlisle. She was an active member of Brandon Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. Mrs. Butler was an avid Alabama fan and also enjoyed playing Bunko.

She is survived by her husband, Jasper Butler; 5 children, Kenneth Wayne Butler (Melissa), James David Butler (Amberlee), Benjamin Varrell Little (Sheila), Timothy Ray Mott and Nancy Yvonne Savage; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Mrs. Butler is also preceded in death by her son, Joseph Allan Butler and 5 siblings.
