Viola Catherine Rickman

Viola Catherine Flemmons Rickman, 96, passed away Wed. March 3, 2021 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be held on Fri. March 5, 2021 from 5pm-7pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 11am on Sat. March 6, 2021 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS. Graveside Services will be held at 3pm on Sat. March 6, 2021 at the Itta Bena Cemetery in Itta Bena, MS.

Mrs. Rickman was born on Nov. 24, 1924 in Moorhead, MS to the late Guy Flemmons and Eddie Mae Jenkins Flemmons.

She is survived by her two daughters, Janice Duncan (Bill) and Katheryn Nelson (Joe); son, Benny Hill; 11 grandchildren, Tabitha Snowdy (John), Tina Miller (Chad), Jay Luckey (Keisha), Clark Rickman (Jessica), Claire Blount (Charles), Lauren Banks, David Hill (Lupa), Courtney Ryals (Jason), Melissa Nelson, Melanie “Mimi” Baumgratz and Frank Bruno Jr. (Tabatha); niece, Parlie Reed (Larry Joe) and multiple great grandchildren. Mrs. Rickman is also preceded in death by her husband, Dave Hill; daughter, Linda Rickman and 4 brothers, Leslie Flemmons, Jay E. Flemmons, Guy Flemmons Jr. and Samuel Flemmons.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
