Virgil Bowman

Virgil R. Bowman, 93, passed away Fri. Aug. 30, 2019 at Castlewood Place Nursing Home in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Mon. Sept. 2, 2019 from 10am-10:45am at Concord Baptist Church in Pelahatchie, MS. Funeral Services are 11am on Mon. Sept. 2, 2019 at Concord Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling arrangements.

Mr. Bowman was born on Aug. 21, 1926 in Rankin County, MS to the late Oscar Bowman and Alice Huff Bowman.

He is survived by his wife, Winnie Jean Bowman; daughter, Debra Kyle (Doug); son, Jerry L. Bowman (Betty); two grandchildren, Krislee and Robert Kyle; two sisters, Daisy Williams and Velma Letchworth and a brother, Hubert Bowman. Mr. Bowman is also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Ray Bowman; sister, Jewell B. Ponder and two brothers, G. B. Bowman and Elbert Bowman.
