Virginia L. Coltrin past away peacefully on August 17th, 210 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland Mississippi.
Virginia was born in Cleveland Ohio July 3rd 1910. She graduated from Lake Erie College where she excelled as a scholar and a very gifted Track and Field Athlete. As a teenager, she attended summer camp in Western North Carolina and fell in love with the area. Although she lived her life in several states, the mountains of North Carolina is where she was the happiest.
Virginia had four children: a son David Coltrin and wife Debbie of Canton Ohio, son Charles Coltrin and wife Joyce of Ooltewah TN, son Mark Coltrin and wife Sherry of Charlotte N.C., and daughter Susan Morgan and husband John of Brandon MS.; and 7 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.
Virginia lived to 100 years of age. She was a very brave, independent, determined woman who faced all of life's challenges head-on. Virginia lived life to the fullest and was well read on a wide range of subjects. She loved her family, each in their own way and was proud to see all develop into valuable contributing adults.
A memorial celebration of her life will be held in the chapel of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon MS on Friday August 27th 2010 at 2:00PM.
