VISITATION: 5-8 PM WEDNEDAY AT CHURCH AND 1 PM THURSDAY AT CHURCH
Virginia Compton, 69, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at her residence. Services were Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Union Baptist Church near Puckett with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Danny Dickerson officiated.
Mrs. Compton was a longtime resident of Rankin County and was of the Baptist Faith. She was a very loving mother and grandmother and will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Lizzie Plunkett of Puckett; sons, Tony Compton (Terrie) of Jacksonville, Florida and James Compton of Puckett; grandchildren, Amanda Smith, Thomas Compton, Jesicia Hydrick, Jeremy Compton, Jennifer Compton, Isabella Compton, Mathew Plunkett and Jacob Plunkett. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren. Mrs. Compton was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Compton in 2006.
