Virginia Westerfield Eubanks

BRANDON, MS – Virginia Westerfield Eubanks, 82, passed away Tuesday June 25, 2024 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Saturday June 29, 2024 from 8:30 – 9:45 am at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral services are 10:00 am following visitation at Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS.

Mrs. Eubanks was born in Brandon, MS and lived most of her life in Rankin, County. She graduated from Northridge HS in Dayton, Ohio class of 1960. While her husband, Earl, was still living, they resided on a small farm in Philadelphia, MS before moving back to Brandon. Mrs. Eubanks loved God, her family and friends, gardening, and gospel music. She was not shy about defending those that she loved nor discussing politics. During her professional career, she was a bookkeeper with Saks, Inc (formerly McRae’s) where she made many friends,some that she still kept up with during retirement. She also kept many friends with her church family as a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Linda Westerfield, dear double first cousin, Mary Louise Eubanks, 3 children, Anita Wray (Gary), Margie Hamilton, Mark Eubanks (Jessica), 8 grandchildren, Melissa (Chris) Jourdan, Rustin (Sydney) Ponder, London Hamilton, Spencer (Lauren) Wray, Courtney Hamilton, Zac Hamilton, Brady Eubanks, Abram Eubanks, Melissa (Dustin) Johnson, and Kristin (Jason) Freeze, and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Eubanks, parents, Arthur and Margarette (Korn) Westerfield, and brother, Arthur Westerfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Oakdale Baptist Church in Brandon, MS.
