Jennie King, 81, went home Tuesday, October 24 and heard the words she has longed to hear: "Well Done!"
She was born in Jackson, MS to Clyde and Irma Woods and was the youngest of four girls. She met the love of her life, Ted King, when she was only 13 years old and the two were inseparable until he preceded her in death in 2003. Ted and Jennie had 3 sons: Steve (Cindy), Vince and Jeff(Karen) King and made a living together owning several Dairy Queens in the community.
They had 4 grandchildren, Chris (Trisha) King, Cory (Mandy) King, Anthony (Dalea) King and Breckyn King Dunn (T.K.), 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 siblings, her husband and her son Vince. Joy fills our heart imagining that reunion.
Celebration of life will take place Friday, October 27 at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be Thursday, October 26 from 5-8 pm as well as prior to the service at 2:00. All will take place at Meadow Grove Baptist Church. Graveside service will take place at Brandon Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Meadow Grove Baptist Church mission fund.
