Virginia “Ginni” Mills, 61, passed away Friday Sept. 23, 2011 at her home in Pearl, MS. Visitation will be held Saturday Sept. 24, 2011 from 5-8pm. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2pm. Sunday Sept. 25, 2011 at the funeral home with interment following in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.
Mrs. Mills was born in Jackson, MS and has been a resident of Pearl, MS for 55 years, where she graduated from Pearl High School and was a member of the Park Place Baptist Church in Pearl, MS. Mrs. Mills was a school teacher for 37 years, teaching at Rankin Academy in Star, MS for 10 years and at Pearl Lower Elementary in Pearl, MS for 27 years.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Mills; her daughter, Lauren Mills; her son, Daniel Mills; two grandchildren, Aiden and Pheonix Taylor all of Pearl, MS; her brother, Charles Smith and wife Susie of Jackson, MS; her aunt, Mildred Welch of Crystal Springs, MS and her cousins, Margaret Pearl Grey, Mary Ann Willis, Rev. James and Faye Warren. Mrs. Mills is preceded in death by her daughter, Kristen Leann Mills and her parents, Daniel and Mary Smith.
