Vivian Pernell Lewis, 94, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Lakeland Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation is Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 5 – 8 pm and Friday, February 18, 2011 from 10 – 11 am at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 11 am Friday, February 18, 2011 from the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Jackson, MS.
Vivian was born on August 26, 1916 in Marshall County, MS to the late Arch D. and Anna Rodgers Walls. She moved to Jackson, MS in 1946. She was a member of the Community Christian Church in Pearl, MS and was a member of the Woodbine Garden Club. She loved her flowers; cooking and visiting with family and friends. She had worked for many years as a salesperson at McRae’s Department Store and at J.C. Penney Department Store.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Purnell Parker & husband, Larry of Pearl, MS; two grandsons, Chris Parker & wife, Kelly of Brandon, MS and Scott Parker & wife, Kim of Gallatin, TN; three great granddaughters, Alyn, Ashlyn, and Kayla Parker; and one sister, Nita Curry of Tupelo, MS.
