Walter Everett Evans, 86, passed away on Wed. Dec. 27, 2023, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Tues. Jan. 2, 2024 from 5pm-8pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and on Wed. Jan. 3, 2024 from 10am-11am at Truitt Baptist Church in Pearl, MS. Funeral Services are 11am on Wed. Jan. 3, 2024 at Truitt Baptist Church with burial to follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS.

Mr. Evans was born on Oct. 14, 1937, in Forest, MS to the late Walter E. Evans and Goldie Stringfellow Evans. He was a member of Paul Truitt Baptist Church in Pearl, MS.

Mr. Evans is survived by his two sons, Scotty Evans (Jan) and Michael Evans; sister, Fay Fisher (Jimmy); brother, Frankie Evans (Rose); 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Mr. Evans is also preceded in death by his 3 brothers, Edward, Lee, and Lewis Evans.
