RALEIGH

Mr. Walter Wayne Kelley, age 71, a resident of Raleigh died Sunday, June 13, 2010 at his residence. Visitation was held 5-9pm Monday, June 14, 2010 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held 10 am Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with Bro. Jerry Holmes officiating with burial in the East Morton Cemtery. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Kelley was born in Neshoba County and had been a resident of Smith County for 20 years. Wayne loved to hunt and fish and be in the serenity of nature. He was a mechanic and shop foreman for Ashley Transport for many years. Mr. Kelley loved gardening and being outdoors. He was a crop duster at Eagle Lake for many years and loved working on airplanes. Wayne had proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

Preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Kelley; daughter, Patsy Ann Kelley; mother, Exie Mae Mowdy Kelley; father, Walter Jackson Kelley and brother, Paul David Kelley.

Survivors include his son, Ken Kelley (Alison) of Brandon; sisters, Sarah Townsend of Morton, Jeanette Harpe of Pelahatchie and June Kelley of Morton; brother, Larry Kelley (Winta) of Raleigh; niece, Lisa McCrory McGehee (Mike) of Madison and 2 grandchildren, Jonathan Seth Kelley and Katherine Brooke Kelley.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Bray, James Earl Milseys, Mike McGehee, Jeff Matthews, Wolf Scott and Ron Bray.
