Mrs. Waudine Herrington, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson. Visitation was held 11am-12pm Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Graveside service was held 12:30pm Thursday at Branch Baptist Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Tagert officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Waudine was born in Ruleville, Ms on August 16, 1943. She loved making ceramics and painting. Waudine and her husband, Aussie Felix, owned and operated Coal Bluff Trading Post and Big Bill’s Seafood Restaurant for many years. She loved her family very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Aussie Felix Herrington; parents, Henry Joseph Minton and Edna Allday Minton; 3 grandchildren, Michael Blayne Herrington, Jonothon Shayne Herrington and Michael Shannon McBride; 2 brothers, Lehamond Minton and Joe Howard Minton; son-in-law: Audie Tyson.
She is survived by 3 children, Rita McBride (Michael) of Ridgeland, Lisa Tyson of Brandon and Michael Herrington (Giena) of Branch; 2 sisters, Polly Brown (James) of Ludlow and Linda Perry of Heber Springs, Arkansas; brother, Billy Frank Minton (Angie) of Brandon; 7 grandchildren, April McBride Scott, Langley Hudgins (Curtis Rose), Megan Hudgins (Robby Moss), Anthony Hudgins, Addie Kate Tyson, Malaree Cole and Kiefer Cole; 9 great grandchildren, McKenzi Scott, Lorelai Scott, Natalya Carnahan, Axton Harris, Ember Rose, Shaggy Moss, Kaiden Brantley, Kyleigh Cole and Kinslee Cole and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Anthony Hudgins, Robby Moss, Curtis Rose, Kiefer Cole, Jimmy Herrington and Tony Hudgins. Honorary pallbearer was Billy Frank Minton.
Memorials may be made in her honor to the Baptist Orphans Home.
