Wesley L. Shoop, a 40 year resident of Brandon, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on June 3, 2016. He was 90 years old. He was a graduate of the Ohio State University, a veteran of the Army Air Corp, and worked his entire life in the agricultural business, including the last 20 years of his professional career as a futures trader at B. C. Rogers in Morton. He was in retirement for 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, June; his sister, Hilda; his four children, Wesley, Debbie (Ron), Lynn (Scott), and Stephen (Marlene); three grandchildren, Steffanie (Rachel), Kristen (Justin), and Matthew; and two great grandchildren, Huxley and Peyton. A Memorial service will be 2PM Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS, with visitation starting at 1 PM.
