William T. (Bill) (Bully) Phillips, 89, went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at St.
Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation is 2-5 pm Sunday, January 6, 2013 and 12 Noon until the
1 pm Service in the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with Military Honors.
He was a native of Carroll County, MS. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He then moved to Jackson where he worked as a car salesman for Blackwell Chevrolet for over 40 years. He was a longtime member of Briarwood Drive Baptist Church in Jackson.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Wilna Tate Phillips; and his brother, Paul Phillips, Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Peggy Phillips of Pearl, MS; his son, Pat Phillips; daughter, Lisa Phillips both of Pearl, MS; his granddaughter, Ariel Phillips of Pearl, MS; and his two sisters, Mary Sullivan and her husband, Fred of New Blaine, AR And Helen Minyard of Pineville, LA.
