Funeral services for Mr. Tony Barnes will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from the Christian Life Fellowship with Bro. Clayborn Huff and Bro. Robert Fortenberry officiating. Interment will follow in the Lorena Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm – 1:45 pm on Saturday at the church prior to the funeral service.
William Anthony Barnes was born on October 22, 1950 in Morton and passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at his home in Pulaski at the age of 67.
Mr. Barnes was a retired supervisor for Voith Fabrics, Inc. in Florence and enjoyed working on computers as a technologist. Traveling, spending time with his dogs, and being an avid sports enthusiast in the areas of football and basketball were favorite past times. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a Christian by faith and attended Christian Life Fellowship.
He is preceded in death by his wife Peggy Breedlove Barnes.
Survivors include his children: William Christopher Barnes, Kimberly Taffery Holt, and Dianne F. Barnes; his parents: Bill & Shirley Barnes and one brother: Roger Allen (Sandra Joyce) Barnes, all of Pulaski; one sister: Billie Dianne (David) McLaurin of Forest; grandchildren: Brent (Crystal) Barnes; Garon Bryce Barnes, Krisler Rain Barnes, Brooklyn McCain Barnes, Katie Holt, and Abby Tuggle.
Pallbearers will be Toby Hodge, Durwood Hawkins, Robert Hallman, Larry Currie, Matt McLaurin, and Lambert Henderson.
