William "Bill" Robert Lee Jr.

William “Bill” Robert Lee Jr., passed away on Mon. July 3, 2023 at Merit Health Rankin Hospital in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Thurs. July 6, 2023 from 9:30am-11am at Brandon Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 11am on Thurs. July 6, 2023 at Brandon Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Brandon Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling arrangements.

 

Mr. Lee was born on Oct. 7, 1932 in New Orleans, LA to the late William R. Lee Sr. and Lavera Hoffman Lee. He was a firefighter for 22 years with the New Orleans Fire Department and was a member of the International Firefighters Association. Mr. Lee was a charter member of Brandon Baptist Church where he sang in the Heritage Choir and was a member of Milton Baxter’s Sunday School Class. Mr. Lee loved to help people and would volunteer at Rankin General Hospital and enjoyed going on Mission Trips where he helped with construction and was a cook. He also loved woodworking and was a die hard New Orleans Saints Fan.

 

Mr. Lee is survived by his wife of 37 years, Weda Wade Lee; six children, Donnell Redmond (Ron), Tim Lee (Betsy), Liz Mol (Don), Melissa Durr (Deryll), Nancy Finklea (Joel) and Mark Wade (Joanna); 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brandon Baptist Church Building Fund or to the Romanian American Missions “RAM” and mailed to 100 Brandon Baptists Dr. Brandon, MS 39042 or by website at www.brandonbc.org.
