William Wayne “Billy” Bowman, 74, departed this life and entered into his heavenly home June 30, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be 4pm until 8pm today at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Services are 3pm Monday, July 3, 2017, in the chapel of the funeral home, with burial in Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS.
Billy was a true man of God who loved his family and friends dearly. Mr. Bowman was born August 10, 1942, and raised in the Crossroads community of Rankin County. He was a heavy equipment operator for over forty years and he enjoyed gardening, camping, and playing his guitar for the enjoyment of others.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Cook Bowman; son, Teddy Wayne Bowman (Sandra) of Brandon, MS; daughter, Sharon Bowman Patrick (Alex) of Cato, MS; sister, Margaret Hamilton; 2 brothers, James Bowman and David Bowman; 4 grandchildren, Austin, Will, Hannah and Sydni; and 1 great granddaughter, Avery Dees Bowman.
