William "Crickett" Hoy Jackson

Mr. William "Crickett" Hoy Jackson, age 82, a resident of Walnut Grove passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  

Mr. Jackson was born in Newton County on November 8, 1942.  He worked for B.C. Rogers and Koch Foods as a diesel mechanic for many years.  William was a hard worker and provided for his family.  He was a avid gardener, loved to hunt and fish.  His grands were the apple of his eye and his kind heart will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents Alford Hoy Jackson and Odie Mae Graham Jackson; 2 sisters, Edna Parker and Johnnie Mae Jackson.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61, almost 62 years, Bonnie Jean Stewart Jackson of Walnut Grove; children, Randy Jackson (Diane) of Clifton, Larry Jackson (Jenny) of Walnut Grove, Melvin Jackson (Wendy) of Walnut Grove and Cecil Jackson (Michelle) of Union; brother, Bobby Jackson of Vaiden; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; numerous number of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Bates, Josh Jackson, John Wayne Killens, Jamie Bradford, Joseph Sanders and Darren Trahen.

Visitation was held 11am-2pm, Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Chapel service was held at  2pm Sunday from Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with Burial in Salem Presbyterian Cemetery in Leake County.

Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton is honored to serve the Jackson family.
