Mr. Hank Harvey, age 79 passed away on October 14, 2017 at the St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation service was on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 10:00 am from the Independence United Methodist Church in Morton with burial at the Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.
Hank was born on February 5, 1938 in Forkville, MS to John Henry and Emma Thweatt Harvey. He was a member of the Morton United Methodist Church. He loved deer and fox hunting, watching wrestling and football on television. He loved gardening, playing dominoes and rook card games, and riding on his four-wheeler. He loved his family very much and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Emma Harvey; and 10 other siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Finch Harvey; daughter, Anne (Kevin) Everett of Morton; sister, Lavada Chapman of Morton; grandchildren, William "Will" Everett and Hannah Everett; great-grandchildren, Ellie Everett and Roland Everett; and other friends and family members.
Serving as pallbearers were Milton Chapman, Harvey Chapman, Frank Miller, Chris Cavanaugh, Ricky Cooper, Steven Crotwell; and honorary pallbearers were Joey Moore, Ed Creel, Michael Manning, Edgar Simpson, Bruce Buffington, Kenny Latham
