Mr. William B. Stingley, age 69 and a resident of Pelahatchie passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020 at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Jackson.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday June 17, 2020 from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Gulde Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Mr. Stingley was a lifetime resident of Rankin County and a member of Pelahatchie Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Pelahatchie Volunteer Fire Department and served the town of Pelahatchie as a police officer. Mr. Stingley enjoyed having coffee with friends; attending auctions, fishing and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren brought him great joy.
William was very proud of having thirty five years of sobriety.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Linda Perkins Stingley; one son: William B. "Billy Buck" Stingley, Jr., and his parents: William Cooper & L.E. Buchanan Stingley.
He is survived by one daughter: Shae (Todd) Godbey and seven grandchildren: Dylan, Bryant, autumn, and Will Stingley and Amma C., Adisyn, and Jake Godbey.
Pallbearers will be Todd Godbey, Dylan Stingley, Bryant Stingley, James Carter, Carl Smith, and Jeff Myecs.
Funeral services were entrusted with Ott and Lee Funeral Home of Morton, MS.
