William Earl Bustin, Sr., 81, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017, at his home. Visitation will be 12 noon Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Brandon Brandon Baptist Church with the service starting at 2:00pm. Interment will follow in Fuston Cemetery in Scott County. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
Mr. Bustin was born in Forest, MS on August 6, 1935 to the late Robert Earl and Minnie Chambers Bustin. He was a charter member and Deacon of Brandon Baptist Church. Bill loved music and played the guitar and violin. He was in the Forestry industry for over 55 years
Bill was a wonderful husband and father. Survivors include his wife, Theresa Madden Bustin; sons, William Earl Bustin, Jr. (Carol Ann) of Hattiesburg, MS and James Keith Bustin of Brandon, MS; brother, Jerry Lee Bustin of Forest, MS; 5 grandchildren, Haley Barnes, Casey Bustin, Emily Bustin, Abby Bustin and Will Bustin, III; and 2 great grandchildren, Ava Crenshaw and Ali Crenshaw.
Serving as pallbearers are Jimmy Gray, Joe Tynes, Charles Wall, Gene Sirmon, Truitt Grubbs, Robert May and Tom Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers are James Self, Dr. Lamar Weems, Jim Marshall, Sr., Jerry McNeil, E.F. Dickens, Don Turberville, Deacons of Brandon Baptist Church, Buddy Franklin, Arvis Moore, Tom Wright, Hugh Easley and Mark Lang.
