William “Billy Buck” Stingley, Jr., 40, a resident of Pelahatchie, MS passed away at his residence Tuesday, September 16, 2014. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Ott and Lee Funeral home in Morton with burial in the Gulde Cemetery in Pelahatchie, MS. Visitation was held Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at the Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Pastor Bryan Shufelt and Pastor Wesley Downs officiated the services.
Mr. Stingley was a native of Hinds County. He was the son of William Buchanan Stingley, Sr., and Mrs. Paulette Bryant Myers. He worked for Specialty Tree Service as a tree cutter. He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with his children which brought him great joy. Billy also loved watching his Mississippi State Football team, wood working, and coon hunting. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Mr. Stingley was preceded by his grandparents, Cooper and L. E. Stingley, and O.C. Ruby Doris Bryant; uncle, Charles Bryant.
He is survived by his parents, Billy Stingley, of Pelahatchie and Paulette Myers (Elwin) of Pearl; children, Dylan, Bryant, Autumn, and Will; sister, Shae Godbey (Todd) of Braxton; step brother, Brad Myers (Amber) of Pearl; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Myers, Jeff Byrd, Chris Hogan, James Carter, Todd Godbey and Brad Myers.
