Willie Harrell, Jr.

Mr. Willie Sharp Harrell, Jr., was born at Forest, on April 20, 1945. He passed away at his home, on Monday, December 27, 2021 at the age of 76.

The longtime Scott County resident was a retired truck driver for Koch Foods, Inc. and Vietnam veteran, serving in the United States Army. He was an avid outdoorsman, who thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing. A Christian by faith, Mr. Harrell held affiliation with Clifton Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Willie Sharp Harrell, Sr., and Margaret Eloise Latham Harrell; his step-mother: Grace Harrell; one sister: Peggy Polk and one brother: Denzil Harrell.

Survivors include his wife of over 51 years: Mrs. Mary “Susie” Harrell; three children: William Harrell, Melissa (Stephen) O’Brien, and Lisa (Benny Ray) Harrison; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings: Helen Fortenberry, W.T. Harrell, Don Harrell, Sammie Harrell, David Harrell, Roger Johnson, Beverly Elliott, Nancy Harrell, and Shirley Boyte; a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Bro. Billy Henry and Bro. Doyle Boyles will officiate the service. Music will be provided by Mrs. Heather Hayman. Serving as pallbearers will be Glenn Hayman, Jr., Jeff Harrell, Vic Harrell, Mark Harrell, Randy Harrison, Jason Harrell, and Britt Harrell. and honorary pallbearers will be   Joseph Fortenberry and Ben Norris.
