MRS. WILLIE B. PRUITT
PELAHATCHIE
Mrs. Willie B. Pruitt, age 80, a resident of Pelahatchie died Monday, July 5, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson. Visitation was held Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and resumed on Thursday from 8:30am – 1:30pm at the funeral home. Funeral services were held Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 2pm from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Leesburg Cemetery. Rev. Finney and Rev. Danny Stewart officiated the services. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Pruitt was a lifelong resident of Rankin County. She was one of the last charter members of Holmes Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Willie loved to cook and if anyone came to visit her home, she made sure that they did not leave hungry. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Pruitt; 2 sons, Willie Ray Pruitt and Louie Pruitt Sr.; daughter-in-law, Lois Lynn Pruitt; brother, J.T. Shoemaker, and great grandson, Christopher Holmes.
She is survived by one son, Randy Pruitt; 3 sisters, Christine Shoemaker, LaUna Kyzar and Ruby Fleming and brother, Ray Shoemaker; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Steven Pruitt, Jason Pruitt, Louie C. Pruitt Jr., Larry Pruitt, Chris Renfroe and Adam Kirby. Honorary pallbearers were Dustin Pruitt, Laramie Pruitt II, Christian Pruitt, Skylar Pruitt, Nathan Johnston and Austin Pruitt.
