Willie Clyde Campbell

Mr. Willie Clyde Campbell, age 70, a resident of Ludlow passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at his residence.  Visitation will be held 5pm-9pm Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Services will be held 2 pm Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Allen Chapel Cemetery.  Bro. Paul Smith and Bro. Keith Mangum will officiate the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mr. Campbell was born in Eupora, MS on January 20, 1948.  He was a truck driver for many years and loved watching western movies on t.v.  Clyde was a big football fan when it came to cheering for Mississippi State Bulldogs.  He was a member of the Ludlow Volunteer Fire Department and he had a passion for helping people.  Clyde has one adopted grandson, Sam Bunyard that was his heart.  He loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Dan Campbell and Annie Louise Powers Campbell; sister, Lura Campbell Burt; brother, George "Gene" Campbell; paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Willie & Essie Campbell; maternal grandparents, George W. & Edna Powers.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Opal Perry Campbell of Ludlow; 2 children, Susan Lampkin and husband, Steve of Morton and Angela Varnes and husband, David of Pelahatchie; sister, Marie Campbell Phillips (James) of Pearl; sister-in-law, Bonnie Campbell of Pearl; 1 grandchild, Sam Bunyard; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Sam Bunyard, James Phillips, Steve Lampkin, David Varnes, Alvin Seaney and Joel Puckett.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Ludlow Volunteer Fire Department.
